Winners will be contacted by phone and/or email.
This season’s event started with many challenges including COVID restrictions and a late freezing of the lake. Not to mention, this event is a long event spanning from November of 2021 to April 2022.
Mountain Foothills Rotary would like to thank all those who made this event possible including the sponsors, people who financially donated, student volunteers, people who donated time, businesses who helped sell tickets and everyone who bought tickets.
The Evergreen Ice Melt Contest is an annual tradition in Evergreen and is one of the events that make this community a special place. Without everyone’s participation this event would not have happened. We will be giving the proceeds to our beneficiaries in the upcoming weeks. In the meantime, please thank our sponsors and the businesses who helped sell tickets by visiting their establishments.
Again, thanks to everyone who participated! We are looking forward to next season!
Thanks,
Keith Dragon
2021/2022 Ice Melt Chairperson

Mountain Foothills Rotary is an evening club that enjoys socializing, including having a fine beer or two. Our club recently had the idea of engaging area breweries and tap rooms to share in our community event by becoming “Barrel Buddies”.
This season we will be receiving donations from El Rancho Brewing Company & Lariat Lodge Brewing Company. Each of these breweries are donating a portion of their beer sales to the Ice Melt Contest.
Please stop by and help with their donations by purchasing a brew or two! If you find a Mountain Foothills Rotarian at the bar, be sure to buy tickets!

All proceeds benefit Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO), the Evergreen Parks & Recreation Department INSPIRE - Special Needs Program and the Mountain Foothills Rotary Foundation. For more information about each of the organizations click on the logos below.
The barrel idea came while visiting the Summit County Rotary Club in Dillon who had been doing the Ice Melt contest for a number of years. Several members of the Mountain Foothills Rotary Club decided this would be a good fundraiser for our club. So with a lot of help from local sponsors and members, the first Ice Melt Contest started on December 31, 2006 in conjunction with the Skate the Lake event in Evergreen.
Since the 2006/2007 season, Mountain Foothills Rotary in Evergreen has been holding the Ice Melt event on Evergreen Lake to benefit the Evergreen Parks & Recreation Department INSPIRE - Special Needs Program and Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) with a small amount going to our Club Foundation. Over the years the Ice Melt fundraiser has raised thousands of dollars for the community at large.
Rotary is an international organization of business and professional leaders providing humanitarian services, encouraging high ethical standards in all vocations and helping to build goodwill around the world.
We focus on doing the good work that all Rotary clubs do, but also upon these things that make us unique:
I invite you to come and meet us any Wednesday at Mt. Vernon Country Club. We meet at 6:30 PM. Most of us come at least a half hour early to socialize.
Yours in Rotary,
PJ Dyon
President
