Sponsors for the 2024/2025 Event

For over 20 years, Mountain Foothills Rotary has been a part of our community supporting countless educational and non-profit efforts throughout Evergreen Colorado, Jefferson County, Clear Creek County and the world.

Our fundraising events directly benefit organizations like Evergreen Parks & Recreation District’s – INSPIRE Special Needs Program, Evergreen Christian Outreach Services, Mountain Area Imagination Library in Colorado, Rotary’s Wildfire Readiness, Crutches 4 Africa, and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative to name a few.

Sponsoring a Mountain Foothills Rotary event is a great way to help our community while promoting your business. We couldn’t do the good work that we do without the support of individuals and local businesses throughout our community! Our sponsors make this event possible for us to give back to the Evergreen Community.

When doing business in our community we ask that you please choose their products and services first! Organizations that have chosen to help sponsor Ice Melt make a difference in the Evergreen Community.

History of The Ice Melt Contest

The barrel idea came while visiting the Summit County Rotary Club in Dillon who had been doing the Ice Melt contest for a number of years. Several members of the Mountain Foothills Rotary Club decided this would be a good fundraiser for our club. So with a lot of help from local sponsors and members, the first Ice Melt Contest started on December 31, 2006 in conjunction with the Skate the Lake event in Evergreen.

Since the 2006/2007 season, Mountain Foothills Rotary in Evergreen has been holding the Ice Melt event on Evergreen Lake to benefit the Evergreen Parks & Recreation Department INSPIRE - Special Needs Program and Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) with a small amount going to our Club Foundation. Over the years the Ice Melt fundraiser has raised thousands of dollars for the community at large.

Mountain Foothills Rotary

Rotary is an international organization of business and professional leaders providing humanitarian services, encouraging high ethical standards in all vocations and helping to build goodwill around the world.

We focus on doing the good work that all Rotary clubs do, but also upon these things that make us unique:

  • We are a manageable size so we all know each other personally
  • We have fun doing what we do
  • We don’t take ourselves too seriously
  • Being an evening club, we are able to include a short social event each week

I invite you to come and meet us any Wednesday at Mt. Vernon Country Club. We meet at 6:00 PM. Most of us come at least a half hour early to socialize.

Yours in Rotary,

Christopher Nims
President
Rotary Club of Mountain Foothills of Evergreen, Colorado
